Sherlock Jr. / USA / 1924

Sherlock Jr. is Buster Keaton’s great tribute to the power and possibilities of the cinematic medium. Asleep at the projector, Keaton’s detective-in-training dreams of the peculiar force of the movies, its ability to take us from city to desert to tundra in a fraction of a second, and its power to turn a pair of young lovers into a family of four without interval.
