Screening Log
This new site feature is a collective effort to summarize our viewing habits. Occasionally, you will find titles here that are coming to a theater near you, in addition to films viewed on television, and even films viewed in piecemeal. The screening log is archived each month; to view past entries select a month in the menu below.

Sin City / USA / 2005
More so than any film I can immediately cite, Sin City is constructed with such artifice that it is disingenuous to give precedence to its merits as a film. This may be drawn too closely to Frank Miller’s source graphic novels (which seems to be the chief criticism this film has engaged, and which I’ll be reading very soon), but this is also one of the most fantastic things I have watched in a cinema in some time.
