Meet the Fockers / USA / 2004
Not as funny as it should have been, but much funnier than I expected it to be.

I’m totally with you on this. It’s a textbook example of a “comfort sequel,” in that it simply duplicates the familiar feelings created in Meet The Parents, and yet despite retreading so many of the gags from the first film, it still manages to be very funny. Plus, Dustin Hoffman is on a role with these loveable loons that he’s taken to playing in the past year or so (I Heart Huckabees also comes to mind).
