Bamboozled / USA / 2000
Along with Team America, one of only a very few truly great satires in recent American cinema.

I also caught this this week, and I agree that it is a strong, polemic satire, but Damon Wayans has what’s about worst French accent I’ve ever heard.

Wayans’ character is quite a broad caricature, but do you think he’s going for a French accent? Sounded more pseudo-Harvard to me. And in any case, the character is supposed to be masquerading as more blue-blooded than he actually is. Witness the scenes with his father … played by Mr. Paul Mooney himself!
