Mission: Impossible 3 / USA / 2006
It feels churlish to attack JJ Abrams for bringing nothing new to this already wildly derivative franchise, but isn’t the plot here just a straight amalgamation of the first two films, with a hoary touch of ‘comin’ out of retirement’ shenanigans thrown in? The action is exciting enough, loud and flashy, but we’ve seen it all before, and before, and before… But, right, what was I expecting?
