The Hills Have Eyes / USA / 2006
A fairly pointless retread of a minor horror classic, taking a few easy potshots at US government policy in an attempt to justify a nasty and unrelenting little shocker. The central attack scene is genuinely horrible, but didn’t this sort of vicious, gratuitous sexual violence go out in the ‘70’s? There’s no justification for it, and it leaves a sour taste.
