“Dang. That hundred dollars could have gotten me… one gallon of gas!”
Bad news everyone! This is a misstep, though the opening “discussion” about being cancelled, a truckload of pandas, and Al Gore mocking himself makes it a worthwhile exercise in fan-base pandering. I loved the show when it was on TV, then loved it again in mind-numbing late-night reruns, so I looked forward to this as a return to top form. But the writing herein has lost much of its wit and sharpnessÑan episode’s-worth of humor stretched into ninety unbearably long minutes. Luckily, there are three more straight-to-video Futurama movies in post-production, so there’s always time to reclaim that Sunday-night glory.
