Typical eighties fantasy schlock that’s notable for seemingly being targeted at adults rather than kids because of the sex and profanity. John Saxon and Richard Hatch chew on the scenery for a about an hour and a half and a scientist promises to “show those fools at the university I’m not mad.” Enjoyable mixture of cheesy fantasy novels and Advanced Dungeons & Dragons that provides plenty of nostalgic fun without being dumbed down for the kiddies.
